Welcome!
The Scrooge Report is all about the news and then some! You’ll soon find out that this site has little to do with Ebenezer, other than hopefully help in a kind of awakening as the Charles Dickens character had in the novel.
My aim is to offer news and information about the spiritual battles that go on every day…at least those we may be able to recognize!
— Alexander
In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it. – John 1:4,5

You have an enjoyable site with thoughtful insight. You befriend me on the day I read in the Bible how total trust in God is necessary in every aspect of our lives. I am reading the Song of Moses in Deuteronomy.
When I went to church, the same message was the theme of the sermon. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” (Prov. 3:5a) “In all your ways acknowledge him.” (Prov. 3:6a) “…and he will make your paths straight.” (Prov. 3:6b)
Thank you, Jack!
We thought you might be interested in this story for your site. It would be a great Valentine’s Day segment! I am one of the co-founders of Cache’ Connections, a matchmaking service for committed Christians. We partner with several mega churches in several states, including Charles Stanley’s, First Baptist Atlanta, to help singles grow in their faith and connect with like-minded believers.
This is an amazing story of how this couple met and how they sought and found God’s confirmation in their relationship. Here’s a short sample.
“As matchmakers, we have seen God working through our members, but this story is so powerful and confirming that even the most skeptical would have a hard time refuting the evolution of a divine plan in the making. Craig, a 56-year old well-organized business executive, came to dinner still in his suit and tie, prepared with an outline. Struggling to maintain his composure and in a most sincere manner, he started by simply stating, “We owe you a debt of gratitude.” To give a little background, this story began when we were frantically searching for matchable panelists for the Peoria Cache’ Connections Dating Game, slated to transpire in October 2009. We both thought Phillis would be a great contestant because of her outgoing, energetic spirit, but she had turned us down twice already, stating “She didn’t have time.” Granted, she did have a good excuse, as she is Mom to three grown biological children and 10 foster children, a nursing instructor and an Advanced Practice Nurse. To top it off, she is working on her Ph.D! But, we knew Phillis was special, as we were acquainted with her story in which her husband of 27 years lost his battle with cancer three years ago … so we didn’t want to give up quite yet.” You can find the rest of the story by going to our blog at http://cacheconnections.blogspot.com/2009/12/their-crazy-step-of-faith-leads-them-on.html.
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Kim Whitaker
