Van Jones and the Scrooge Report on Twitter

If Iranians can start a revolution on Twitter, Americans can oust Green Jobs Czar Van Jones from the White House with a few tweets!

My, my, isn’t it amazing how bold I/we can get in 140 characters or less! However, Tweeting on the subject of Van Jones is about a little more than boldness … it’s about helping people become aware of one bad apple that should not be as close as he is now to ANY U.S. president.

Missed the news on this Official Kool-Aid Distributor of the 2009 Acorn Games?

Well, where should we begin? How about Van Jones calling Republicans an expletive … oh, but wait, the Van Jones apology tour has begun: White House Green Jobs Adviser Apologizes for Calling Republicans ‘Assholes’

But, before I go any further, it’s not at all surprising that those who still hold traditional media dear to their hearts would miss news about the self-described communist. Case in point, this from an article published yesterday at the WashingtonExaminer.com:

The Van Jones (non) feeding frenzy
By Byron York
From a Nexis search a few moments ago:

Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the New York Times: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy in the Washington Post: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on NBC Nightly News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on ABC World News: 0.
Total words about the Van Jones controversy on CBS Evening News: 0.

If you were to receive all your news from any one of these outlets, or even all of them together, and you heard about some sort of controversy involving President Obama’s Special Adviser for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, your response would be, “Huh?” If you heard that that adviser, Van Jones, had apologized for a number of remarks and positions in the recent past, your response would be, “What?” And if you were in the Obama White House monitoring the Jones situation, you would be hoping that the news organizations listed above continue to hold the line — otherwise, Jones, who is quite well thought of in Obama circles, would be history.

And the article continues today with an update:

UPDATE: The New York Times, ABC and NBC hold the line

After the Jones controversy reached a boiling point on Friday, the Washington Post published a story, “White House Says Little on Embattled Jones,” on page A-3 of its Saturday edition. But the New York Times remained silent on the story.

Likewise, on Friday night the “CBS Evening News” reported the Jones matter, but ABC’s “World News” and “NBC Nightly News” again failed to report the story.

So, you say Van Jones’ name-calling is really no big deal. Can’t we just all get along? How about this video piece at Breitbart TV, where Jones is trying to explain some kind of distorted view on white teens and school shootings? I tell you, this guy throws back U.S. progress in diminishing racism by 20 years. Warning: this Van Jones snippet may attack all your sensibilities… Van Jones: Only “Suburban White Kids” Shoot Up Schools.

It seems every day now, there’s more disheartening information coming out about the Lenin-style-glasses wearing Van Jones. I’ll just add one more nugget for now …

This from Power Shift ‘09 conference in March:

“We’re really entering a third wave of environmentalism in the United States. The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities.” – Van Jones (full story and video link available at AmericanRenaissance.com)

Where does America go from here? It’s certainly not a pretty picture now … and the future is a bit cloudy to say the least. For now, let’s follow each other on Twitter!

At least we can vent…

  1. Any person either elected or appointed should be of American values first. I have read and heard this fanatic Van Jones make statements that should have the Government WATCHING him not Hiring him. I enlisted in the service during the Viet Nam War and came home to voices of hate for our doing our duty to America. Today my elected President hires people with un-American values. I should have died back then so as to not have to watch my country change. Double standards have replaced moral leadership. I listened and applauded as our great nation showed the world that in America all are equal. The truth is Americans should be seen, taxed and remain silent. I must have fallen asleep for many years and missed the battle for America. Please be kind enough to let me know the where an when of the battle fought in SILENCE that America lost. Also if there are any survivors please send help to get me back to the America I was born in, I would hate to die on this now foreign soil.
