Today, right now for one person in Baghdad…

“Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.’” -Luke19:9

Prayer: Lord, Your ways are so much higher than our ways. You are a God of righteousness and justice, and yet You abound in loving-kindness and mercy. You seek us out when we are lost, and bring us home to You by the sacrifice of Your only son. You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.

Father, through Jesus Your son, You purchased salvation and freedom for every man, woman, and child. boy in Iraqi crowdThe ruler of this world no longer has legal claim to the souls of men. I come before You and I single out one person in Baghdad to receive salvation in Jesus today. I confront the claims of the devil over this life, and challenge him with the claims of Christ.

I wash away every accusation the enemy brings before Your throne with the precious blood of Jesus. I bind the demonic influence that would hold them back from receiving their Savior. I declare Your word over this person, “Today salvation has come to this house.” Let Your love and light flood their soul, and sweep them up into Your glorious presence. May they love You and serve You all the days of their life. In Jesus name, amen.
